Description:
With an ascending, stem carrying 2 to 6, often absent or withered at blooming, subrosulate, pale green, ovate to broadly ovate, acute apically, rounded to subcordate abruptly narrowing below into the petiolate base leaves that blooms in the spring on an erect, sparsely pubescent, 10 to 18 cm long, 2 to 5 flowered inflorescence with 2 to 3, sterile, sheaths and ovate to ovate-lanceolate, equal in length to the ovary acuminate apically floral bracts.
Distribution:
Nansei-shoto, Taiwan, Vietnam (Cao Bằng, Hà Giang, Bắc Kạn).
Ecological:
In broad-leaved forests at elevations of 100 to 1400 m as a miniature to small sized, hot to cool growing terrestrial.
Flowering times:
Blooms in the spring.
Flower size:
5.0 cm.
Cultivation:
Warm growing epiphyte, prefers humus-rich compost and light shade.
