English Name:

The Eyed Bulbophyllum (refers to the eye-like spots on the floral segments).

Description: 

With .4 to 1.6" between each pyriform, tetragonal to globose psedobulbs carrying a single, apical, porrect to erect, oblong to oblanceolate, green to light brown leaves that blooms from the rhizome or basally on a very, thin, wiry, longer than the leaves, to 7.5 cm long, filamentous, single flowered inflorescence.

Distribution:

Philippines.

Ecological:

On the east coast of Luzon at elevations around 600 m as a warm growing epiphyte or lithophyte. 

Flowering times:

Blooms in the summer.

Flower size:

7.0 mm.

Cultivation:

Keep plant in intermediate to warm temperatures. Keep moist in summer seasons and do not allow mix to dry, in winter keep the mix slight dry and reduce watering. Keep good air movement to avoid fungal growth. Keep plants in shade. Pot plants in sphagnum moss, fine bark, or mounted.
