Description:
With squat, globular, flattened ventrically, rugose pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, linear to lanceolate leaf that blooms in the late winter and early spring on an erect, basal, 15 to 50cm long, many flowered inflorescence.
Distribution:
Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam (Đà Lạt, Lâm Đồng, Điện Biên, Sơn La).
Ecological:
In sparse woods growing on tree trunks at elevations around 400 to 1500 m as a miniature sized, warm to cool growing lithophye or epiphyte.
Flowering times:
Blooms in the late winter and early spring.
Flower size:
1.0 cm.
Cultivation:
Plants usually grow in in intermediate to warm temperatures. Keep moist in summer seasons and do not allow mix to dry, in winter keep the mix slight dry and reduce watering. Watering usually varies between plants Keep good air movement to avoid fungal growth. Keep plants in shade. Pot plants in sphagnum moss, fine bark, or mounted.
