Description:
It has closely spaced to distant, ovoid psuedobulbs carrying a single, apical, fleshy, oblong-lanceolate, tapering to a shortly petiolate base leaf that is acute at both the apex and the base and blooms in the late spring on a slender, 4 cm long, erect inflorecence that is shorter than the leaf and has an apical umbel of a few to several flowers.
Distribution:
China Southeast (N Fujian, Guangdong, E and NE Guangxi, SW Hunan), Japan, Taiwan.
Ecological:
In broad leaved forests at elevations of 600 to 1500 m as a mini-miniature sized, cool to cold growing, miniature epiphyte best mounted on treefern and given a well-shaded humid environment with moderate water, year round.
Flowering times:
Blooms in the late spring.
Flower size:
5.0 mm.
Cultivation:
Keep plant in cool to intermediatetemperatures. Keep moist in summer seasons and do not allow mix to dry, in winter keep the mix slight dry and reduce watering. Keep good air movement to avoid fungal growth. Keep plants in shade. Pot plants in sphagnum moss, fine bark, or mounted.
