Description:
With a branching rhizome giving rise to erect, 30 to 60 cm long, unbranched, slender in the lower half, slightly thickened in the upper half stems carrying many, grasslike, chartaceous, tapering gradually from base to apex, unequally rounded-bilobed apically leaves that blooms in the summer on a terminal, subcapitate, short, densely several to many flowered inflorescence.
Distribution:
Assam, Bangladesh, China South-Central, East Himalaya, Hainan, Laos, Myanmar, Nepal, Thailand, Tibet, Vietnam.
Ecological:
In mixed, broad-leafed forests on rocky humus rich slopes at elevations of 340 to 2400 m as a small to medium sized, hot to cool growing terrestrial or as an epiphyte on forest margins.

Blooms in the summer.
