Description:

4 to 5 inch plant with shiny olive shaped pseudobulbs and a single stiff dark green sword shaped leaf – slightly arching pendent inflorescence is densely flowered resembling a fox tail – dark mahogany flowers have a gold picotee edge and are intricately shaped with a trilobed lip and fimbriated bracts embracing the column -- this genus is unique in that the column is always slightly twisted so it places the pollen on the shoulder, not the head of its pollinator, and this is obvious in this species – easy to grow and flower.
