Description.
Large epiphyte with stout woody erect, often branching stem to 30 cm long with numerous strap-shaped arching leaves 15—20 by 1.7—2 cm unequally 2-lobed at apex. Inflorescence to 30 cm long, branching with scale-like bracts, many-flowered. Pedicel and ovary 6—7 mm long, floral bracts triangular, acute, 1—2 mm long, reflexed. Flowers widely opening, about 1 cm across, tepals light brown-purple with yellow margin and median stripe, lip white to dull yellow. Sepals sub-similar, narrowly-ovate, 3.5—4 by 2.5 mm, acute. Petals oblong, 4 by 1.5 mm, obtuse. Lip spurred, 3- lobed. Side-lobes triangular, erect, obtuse. Mid-lobe sagittate, with 3 acute lobules, median lobule incurved. Back-wall callus in form of flat lamella, not distinctly 2-lobed, with longitudinal furrow, papillose. Spur broadly cvlindric, about 5 mm long. Column stout, 2 mm tall. Anther cap beaked, 0.5 mm across. Stipe much broadening to the apex, viscidium large, horseshoe-shaped. Fruit narrowly ellipsoid capsule, 1.8—2 by 4—5 mm. Plate 4 (22. 22).

NE. India, S. China, Hainan, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam.
Notes.
Rather common, widespread species in limestone areas of northern Vietnam.
