The Wrinkly Bulbophyllum (Refers to sepals surface).
Description:
Growing epiphyte with 2 cm between each, narrowly conical, slightly compressed pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, elliptic, acute leaf that gradually narrows into a petiole and blooms in the fall on a basal, 2.5 cm long, single flowered inflorescence with a flower that droops and does not open well.
Distribution:
Borneo, Malaya, Philippines, Sulawesi, Sumatera.
Ecological:
In lowland forests at elevations around 1000 to 1700 m as a miniature to small sized, warm growing epiphyte.
Flowering times:
Blooms in the fall.
Flower size:
2.5 cm.
Cultivation:
Keep plant in warm temperatures. Keep moist in summer seasons and do not allow mix to dry, in winter keep the mix slight dry and reduce watering. Keep good air movement to avoid fungal growth. Keep plants in shade. Pot plants in sphagnum moss, fine bark, or mounted.
