The Shining Bulbophyllum 

Description:

Conical-cylindrical pseudobulbs carrying a single apical, erect, coriaceous, glabrous, narrowly ligulate, obtuse leaf that is narrowly subpetiolate below and blooms in the winter on a basal, erect, 9 cm long, single flowered inflorescence with an elliptic floral bract that holds the flower just above the leaves.

11.3 cm.

New Guinea.

Ecological:

Growing epiphyte that is on mossy trees at elevations around 1200 m

Flowering time:

February, May, June, July, August, December.

Culture:

Intermediate growing epiphyte
