Description:
Epiphyte, small, 18-28 cm high. Rhizome very short. Roots filiform, flexuose, glabrous. Pseudobulbs cylindrical-conical, 2-3 by 0.5-0.7 cm above the base; 1-leaved. Leaf erect, elliptic-ligulate, acuminate, glabrous, 14-22 by 1.9-3.8 cm near the middle; base cuneate. Inflorescence 1-flowered, very short, 0.3-0.5 cm high, covered with a few peduncle-scales. Floral bracts ovate, acuminate, much shorter than the ovary. Flower glabrous. Sepals oblong, apiculate, 1.4 cm long. Lateral sepals oblique. Petals obliquely suborbicular-rhombic, obtuse, 0.45 cm long. Lip curved, thick fleshy, oblongoid, broadly obtuse, only slightly longer than the petals. Column short; stelidia linear, obtuse; column-foot slightly incurved. Anther ovate-cucullate, glabrous. Pedicel and ovary short cylindrical, glabrous, 0.9 cm long.
Distribution:
New Guinea.
Ecological:
In primary forests on large trees at elevations around 1100 m as a small sized, warm growing epiphyte.
