English Name:

The Bristly Anoectochilus.

Description: 

Terrestrial leafy herbs with creeping stem, 15-25 cm high. Leaves 3.5- 8 x 1.5-4 cm, ovate, acute at apex, round at base, dark brown, with golden reticulations above. Inflorescence terminal raceme, 3-5 flowered; flowers on the extreme tip; basal portion with 1-2, tubular lanceolate bracts, 1-1.5 cm across. Sepals and petals subequal, 0.6-0.8 x 0.4-0.5 cm, ovate. Lip 1-12 cm long, attached to base of column, white, 3-lobed; side lobes small; mid-lobe 2-winged at apex, with 9 pairs of filiform lobules on sides. Pollinia 2, clavate, attached to a single caudicle. Pedicel and ovary 1-1.2 cm long.

Yunnan China, Assam India, Bangladesh, eastern Himalayas, Nepal, western Himalayas, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam, Sumatra and Java

in VietNam, it found in Yên Bái, Lao Cai, Vĩnh Phúc, Quảng Trị, Quảng Ngãi, Quảng Nam, Gia Lai, Lâm Đồng.

Ecological:

In broadleafed, evergreen, humid primary forests in soils dampened by mists and splash along steep watercourses at elevations of 1200 to 1800 m as a creeping, ascending, cool growing terrestrial orchid in rich humus in damp crevasses.
