Description: 

It has a thick, washed with violet at the tip stem and carrying 5 to 9 basal, oblong-lanceolate to oblong-ovate leaves the uppermost becoming leaf sheaths that blooms in the later spring on a pyramidal, or oblong, 5 to 10 cm long, densly many 5 to 25 flowered inflorescence with the uppermost flowers opening last and has lanceolate bracts.
