The Orchis-Like Trichoglottis.
Description:
with an elongate slender stem carrying imbricating, basally clasping, acute, ovate leaves and blooms in the late spring through summer on a short, axillary, single flowered inflorescence holding the flower close to the stem with flowers occurring with 1 to 2 inflorescence at each and every leaf junction.
Distribution:
Andaman Is., Cambodia, Jawa, Laos, Malaya, Nicobar Is., Thailand, Vietnam.
Ecological:
At elevations of 50 to 600 meters as a small sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte.
Flowering times:
Blooms in the late spring through summer.
Flower size:
1.2 cm.
