Description:
With erect, slender ramicauls enveloped basally by 2 to 3 tubular sheaths and one below the middle carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, elliptical, subacute to obtuse petiolate leaf that is cuneate below into the petiole and blooms in the spring summer and fall on a short, apical, successively single flowered inflorescence arising from an ascending spathe holding the flower at mid-leaf.
