Description: 

Plump, erect thorny leaves surrounded by 2 to 3 tubular sheaths, close together and another leaf below the center and carry a single, apical, sub-to spreading, conical, ovoidal, acute leaf. , egg-shaped, sessile and leaf-wire worms that bloom on solitary successively arise through a single branch and embrace the large flower close to the leaf base.
