Parkinson's Epidendrum (English Consul in Mexico and Orchid Enthusiast 1800's).
Description:
With cylindrical, curved, 7.5 cm long pseudobulbs enveloped basally by a few scarious, tubular bracts carrying a single apical, pendulous, fleshy, narrowly lanceolate, entirely folded leaf. The apical, 5 cm long, racemose inflorescence arises from within the base of the folded leaf with 1 to 3, large, longlasting, simultaneously opening, fragrant [citrus] flowers arising from a newly forming pseudobulb and may occur at various times of the year.
Distribution:
Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico Central, Mexico Gulf, Mexico Southeast, Mexico Southwest, Nicaragua, Panamá.
Ecological:
This large sized, cool to cold, pendant growing, epiphytic species in oak-pine cloud forests at elevations of 1000 to 2300 m.

Blooms at various times of the year.
