Synonym:

Odontoglossum crinitum Rchb.f.

Odontoglossum popayanense F.Lehm. & Kraenzl.

Its native range is Colombia to Ecuador in montane cloud forests at elevations of (1800) 2000 to 3100 meters (Andes) as a small sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte.
