Description:
Clustered pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, grass-like, erect to narrowly elliptic or oblanceolate, plicate, acute or acuminate, longly petiolate leaves, to 30 cm long, slender, pendulous-arcuate, inflorescence with with spreading. imbricating, distichous, glumaceous bracts and many fragrant flowers arranged in 2 rows, smelling of sweet hay to curry, and all occupying the apical half.
Distribution:
Borneo, Philippines.
Ecological:
This orchid grows in warm to cold places, found 550 to 2250 m above sea level, and latches onto trees and rocks cone-shaped to ovoid.
Flowering times:
Blooms in the late winter, spring summer and autum.
Flower size:
1.3 cm.
Cultivation:
Plant can be grown from cool to warm areas with medium to bright light. Pot with fine bark and perlite or sphagnum moss. Plant prefers dry periods between watering. Reduce watering during the winter. Water about once a week.
