"Dendrobium schuetzei Rolfe was discovered first in the Philippines. It grows in the north of Mindanao island, in the Surigao and Agusan provinces. It usually occurs near Dendrobium dearei, in the jungle, 300-910 m altitude above sea level"

Description:

Dendrobium schuetzei Rolfe is a really fine large flowered species with well rounded large flower segments that are in the 3-4 inch range in size. Likes intermediate to warm temps and year-round watering and fertilizing. The flowers are waxy, long-lasting and fragrant. The leaves have a nice structure and the growth habit is compact.

Mindanao Island of the Philippines.

Ecological:

At elevations around 300-900 m.
