Description:
The cylindrical stem with 70 - 160 cm long, 0.6 - 0.8 cm thick. The leaves of the plant are pointed, with 10-16 cm long, 3 - 4 cm wide. The flower buds grow on the stem that still remain leaves. The flowers are yellow, 4 - 4.5 cm in diameter, peduncle and ovule are 4 - 5 cm long. Petals are egg shaped, about 2.3 - 2.4 cm long, 1.4 - 1.5 cm wide. The lips are yellow, with a funnel shape, 2.6 - 2.8 cm long, 2.3 - 2.4 cm wide, with 1 or 2 reddish spots in the middle.
Ecological:
Epiphytic on tree trunks in dense forests, lithophytic on wet rocks in valleys; 700-2500 m.
Distribution:
China (W Guangxi, S Guizhou, SE Xizang, S Yunna), Bhutan, N India, Laos, Myanmar, Nepal, N Thailand, Vietnam (Lào Cai, Vĩnh Phúc (Tam Đảo), Hòa Bình.).
Chemical:
Chrysotobibenzyl, crepidatin, moscatilin, dengibsin, dendroflorin, emodin, physcion, chrysophanol and β-sitosterol.
Uses:
Sweating, dehydration, lymphadenopathy, lack of acidity in the stomach, sperm, lumbar pain, sexual energy (whole tree).
