Description:
orchid, dangling body to 1.5 m long. Fall leaves fall. Flowers grow in the segments 4-6 to 6-10 cm, fragrant blooming in the spring. In addition to the usual pink purple color, there is also white (Dendrobium anosmum var. alba) or white wings, purple throat (Dendrobium anosmum var. huttonii).
Distribution:
Malaysia, Laos, Vietnam (Lào Cai, Hà Giang, Bắc Kạn, Đô Lương, Vinh, Krong Pha, Đà Lạt, Đắk Lắk, Sông Bé, Lộc Ninh), Hong Kong, Philippines, Indonesia, and Papua and New Guinea.
Ecological:
In gallery layers of lower primary forests at elevations up to 1250 m.
Uses:
- Used as an ingredient in Chinese medicine.
- In Vietnam, all Dendrobium genus is used as medicine.
