Alaori's Laelia (Brazilian collector of species late 1900's), Alaori's Cattleya.

Description: 

Cattleya alaorii is uncommon due to its very small and specific growing range, and the fact that its habitat is rapidly being cleared for cocoa plantations. Foliage characteristics: Unifoliate. Bloom characteristics: Erect inflorescence is 5-1.2" long with a single, bell-shaped pale pink to white flower which does not open fully. Flower size is 1.72".

Brazil.

Ecological:

Grows on mossy branches in primary tropical forests at altitudes between 250 and 650 m.
