"Bulbophyllum sikkimense (King & Pantl.) J.J.Sm. was first discovered in Northeast India, the foothills of the provinces of Sikkim and Darjeeling. This species is found in warm, humid tropical forests, at an altitude of 250-850 m above sea level. It grows on secondary dense vegetation and on rocks, often near rivers."
