Diagnosis:
Description:
Epiphytic plant with a short rhizome. Pseudobulbs 1 – 1.8 cm long, clustered, ovoid to quadrangular with longitudinal grooves.Leave 3 – 5 cm long and 1.2-1.8 cm wide, green, oblong-lanceolate, acute to obtuse at apex, glabrous; midrib above grooved.
Inflorescence basal, one-fl owered; 3 – 4 sheaths. Peduncle fi liform, 7 – 10 cm long, one tubular fl oral bract. Flower resupinate, 1.2 – 1.6 cm wide; sepals dark pink to purple, 3 – 4 purple longitudinal stripes; petals white to pale pink and brown mottled; labellum purple-brown, purple spotted at base; column white, translucent to pale yellow.
Dorsal sepal 1 cm long and 0.45 cm wide, oblong-lanceolate, obtuse, ciliate on margins; 3 longitudinal stripes from base to apical part.
Lateral sepals 1 cm long and 0.5 cm wide, oblong-lanceolate, obtuse, ciliate on margins; 3 – 4 longitudinal
stripes from base to apical part.
Petals 0.5 cm long and 0.1 cm wide, ligulate, obtuse, ciliate on margins.
Labellum 0.9 cm long and 0.3 cm wide, oblong, obtuse, rugulose to verrucose, obtuse at apex; 2 small lateral auricles at base, convex, oblong, obtuse at apex; one triangular tooth, acute in the middle at base; one rectangular to oblong cavity in the middle, 3.5 mm long and 1 mm wide.
Column 2 mm long, stout; 2 stelidia oblong and obtuse at apex.
Etymology:
Named in reference to Danish, Dodik Bungur's son.
