Description:
During a field trip to Vietnam in 1980, Mark Collins collected this new Zingiber species and brought it to market. This species was named collinsii in honor of the collector. 'Silver Streaks' has stunning silver stripes on the upper-surface of its foliage and purple/maroon undersides. The inflorescences are fluorescent orange-red and carrot-shaped. Great for collectors and enthusiast alike. 'Silver Streaks' grows well indoors.
