Description: epiphyte with thin, pendulous, basally freely branching, elongate stems carrying many, linear-lanceolate, leathery, rigid, acute leaves that blooms in the summer on a very short, 1 to 3, flowered, fractiflex inflorescence with broadly triangular, very short, obtuse floral bracts.
Flowering: Flowers blooming in summer.
Distribution: Found in penninsular Malaysia, Sabah Borneo, Java and Sumatra and Vietnam.
Ecological: in hill forests at elevations of 250 to 1300 meters as a large to giant sized, hot to cool
Note: Trichoglottis maculata and Trichoglottis lanceolaria are very close and differ most in the two acute tips to the side of the milobe.
