Description:
Orchid, tuber very small, it seems does not exist, spaced 2-3 cm apart. Leaves one, clusters 15-20 cm long, 40-50 small flowers of 3 mm small.
Flowering: Flowers bloom in Aug-Sep.
Distribution: Found in Yunnan Province of China, the eastern Himalayas, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Java, Sumatra, Borneo, Sulawesi and the Philippine. In Vietnam: Lâm Đồng, Đà Lạt, Buôn Ma Thuột.
Ecological: Tree trunks in broad-leaved forests; ca. 1000 m.
Note: Bulbophyllum apodum, Bulbophyllum unguiculatum and Bulbophyllum coriaceum are all very similar and all could be the same variable species.
