Summary
The “Hoang thao quang tay” (Dendrobium scoriarum W.W.Sm.) collected from Ha Giang province is reported here as a new record for the flora of Vietnam. D. scoriarum can be distinguished from its closest ally D. flexicaule, D. officinale by its stem cylindric, flower color whitish to yellowish, column margin entire, middle part with purple spots, upper part with purple hairs and anther cap purple. Morphological redescription and illustrations are provided along with notes on distribution, ecology, phenology and conservation of the species.
