Functions:

toxins and reduces swelling, relieves pain, and restores consciousness.
Indications & Combinations:
1. For sores, carbuncles, and sore throat, it is used with Moschus (She Xiang) and Calculus Bovis (Niu
Huang), and Cinnabaris (Zhu Sha) in “The Six Wonderful Pills” (Liu Shen Wan).
2. For abdominal pain and diarrhea caused by
sunstroke, it is used with Moschus (She
Xiang) and Flos Syzygii Aromatici (Ding Xiang).
Dosage
and administration:
0.015–0.03 g, used in pill or powder form. Appropriate amount
for external use.
